A Halloween-themed 5k, 10k & Kids 1k.  Costumes are strongly encouraged! 



WHEN?
Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 8 a.m.



WHERE?
San Buenaventura State Beach, 901 San Pedro St. Ventura, CA



WHY?
To raise funds for the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to residents of the HACSB’s public housing/affordable housing communities, and participants/household members of the Housing Choice Voucher program who are attending/will be attending a four-year college/university, community college, or technical/vocational school in the fall. 



What’s the cost?
5k - $25-40
10k - $35-50
Kids Fun Run - $10-20


Registration opens on May 22, and prices increase on July 22 & September 24, so register early! Check out the "Registration" tab for more info.  



What will i get?
ALL participants receive a race bib, t-shirt, professionally timed results, finisher's medal, goody bag, and lots of post-race refreshments.
***T-shirts and medals cannot be guaranteed for registrations after October 13th, so please register early!***



IS RACE-DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE? 

Yes!  Race day registration will be available from 6:30 to 7:30 am.  Please arrive promptly!  Only cash or checks payable to Cocina Sin Fronteras will be accepted.



are race fees refundable?

No, race fees are not refundable; however, you may transfer your registration to someone else. Please contact Sandy Sanchez at ssanchez@hacityventura.org if you are interested in this option.



will top finishers receive a prize? 

Yes, awards will be given to the top three overall 5k and 10k finishers.



When can I Pick up my race packet? 
Packet pick-up will take place on race day, starting at 6:30 am.  Please arrive with enough time to check in and pick up packet!  If necessary, you can check in your bag/gear at the registration table.



where can i park?
Limited free parking is available on San Pedro Street and in the Pierpont neighborhood.  You may pay to park in the San Buenaventura State Beach lot; the parking fee is $10.  
We encourage you to carpool, if possible. 



when will race results be available? 
Vendurance will display results on a screen as participants finish the race.  Additionally, results will be linked on our Facebook page, and all participants will receive an email with a link to the results on Saturday afternoon!
